BALI PRINCIPAL AWARD 2011
Following the completion of a South London garden in the autumn of 2010 for Clapham based designer Simon Thomas, the client let us know that she was delighted with the result and that she thought we ought to receive some kind of recognition for the quality of the finished project and the way we had gone about building it.
On Friday the 2nd of December 2011 we had the pleasure and honour of receiving the Principal award in our category at the ceremony in Grosvenor House, Park Lane.
The Awards, which are run annually by the British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI), pay tribute to landscape designers and contractors who have demonstrated exceptionally high standards of professionalism and skill. The event is now in its 35th year and is the largest landscaping awards scheme in Europe. The competition is independently adjudicated by a panel of leading experts in landscaping.
We feel that winning the award against such stiff nationwide competition speaks volumes about the talent and professionalism of all our staff and we aim to build on this honour and continue to improve our levels of workmanship and customer service into the future.
The garden features a raised terrace area with a fireplace feature wall acting as an architectural and functional centrepiece, a central area dominated by a cascading David Harber water chalice housed within a pool and an open terrace next to the house fringed by raised planting beds. At night the garden is illuminated by subtle lighting to the boundary screening, paving and in amongst the planting.
