Good garden design need not cost the earth
The notion that a designed garden is an expensive garden is a misguided one. On the contrary; by sticking to a few basic ground rules we are able to design and build to a range of budgets. Including pretty tight ones. Keeping things straightforward and simple, listening to the dreams and desires of the client and getting to the heart of those requirements with minimum fuss is the key to success. We are able to draw on all our technical experience, our contacts and relationships in the trade in order to make sure that the finished garden not only comes in on time and on budget, but also looks and feels the business too.
A full garden design and build package for under £10,000?
In the summer of 2008 we were asked to create a garden for a lovely young family in Richmond. The brief was to transform an uninspriring area of lawn and utility paving into a family friendly oasis for relaxation and entertainment. There was one catch; the whole thing had to come on under £10,000. Could it be done? And if so how? We were determined to rise to the challenge without compromising our core belief in the importance of quality wormanship and customer service . And so we set about the task. Working closely with Richmond garden designer Annabelle Wilding we came up with a solution that exceeded all expectations.
Richmond garden design was a success with the press!
The garden was designed and built in a busy fortnight in the height of the summer of 2008. We felt happy that the finished article was up to scratch and the clients Nick and Sally Walmsley seemed to agree. On top of that, word also got out to the press and the garden was featured in a RED magazine article devoted to stylish gardens designed and built to a tight budget. We were happy and proud that we had managed to meet the challenge and inspired to pass on the good news to our potential future clients. If this story has inspired you to make something of your tired old plot, do get in touch and we can see if the feat can be repeated in your garden. Look forward to hearing from you. Ben
