A contemporary space; sharp and clean, yet at the same time a restful retreat. Three distinct sections; a raised terrace area to the rear with a large fireplace feature wall, a central area dominated by a cascading David Harber water chalice within a pool and an open terrace next to the house fringed by raised planting beds. Sawn sandstone throughout the garden, softened by stained timber screening along the boundary, a backdrop for pleached Hornbeams and Honeysuckle. Box hedging provides structure and formality. Herbaceous perennials such as Verbena, Fennel and Achillea and bulbs such as Iris and Allium add interest. At night the garden is illuminated by lights along the boundary screening, recessed into the paving and raised beds, beneath the step treads and amongst the planting.
